cheating in sport...

they say its the darkest hour in rugby league...
melbourne storm, probably the best team in the league for the past 4 years, the benchmark team... they have been stripped of 2 premierships from '07 and '09... they need to pay back the NRL $1.1million in prize money....
they cheated the salary cap by $1.7 mil over the past 5 years....
from a bulldogs supporter... well, suck it up... and really... i think im with the majority of the public and press when they say that there are many more clubs cheating the cap....
ah well... after the 2002 incident for the dogs, they stuck by and won the premiership in '04... but after that, reality checks in, they cant afford the players, and now they are mostly gone...
the simple fact is, no player is going to settle on a pay cut and stay in the NRL if they can just goto england, france or union for more money... so if the good players are constantly re-signing contracts in the NRL, they are getting pay raises....
if it took a whistleblower to catch the storm... well, the other clubs wont be caught out unless its broken from within the club... they should have a salary cap on the admin too for hush money...

time to get employed~

i've been in korea now for 3 weeks... my mum went back home a few days ago.... dad will probably go back in the next week as well....
since i've been back, all i've done is just travel around with family... havent even thought about getting a job yet....
now that i've spent a few quiet days alone at home, im starting to feel the need to start looking for a new job....
as for being "self-employed" in korea... well, it has been concluded that its really difficult to do anything in korea without connections... and as for connections... i just dont have enough in korea... also helping students prepare to study in australia isnt really going to work as going to the US is now cheaper than australia.... damn american economy~ -.-
i've decided to live like the majority of other people my age.... WORK HARD... haha... that doesnt mean im going to quit and find an office job... it means, i'll work several teaching jobs, tutor on the side... just "work office hours" teaching... i'll give myself 6 months or so... see how much money i can save up... once i have more money saved up, then i can think about what im going to do with it... meh~
actually... i feel so lethargic these days, its not even funny.... maybe its the changing weather here... maybe i just dont want to be back in korea.... thats probably it... 2 weeks in sydney was waaaaaaaay too short....
anyways.... im planning to get employed by May.... so i better get cracking and go around spraying my resume and do interviews... blah~~ i hate this part of employment... interviews are so superficial and its just how well u act and lie... although... i think im pretty good at putting on a show and lying.... i just hate having to get up and move and go there... hahahaha
meh~ i better start exercising too now that the weather aint too cold.... my baseball season starts this saturday~!!

from the archives...

life back in korea isnt any easier....
if anything, its harder than last year because i've come back with alot of uncertainties... that is... i dont have a job yet....
its not that finding a job is hard... im just in a pickle as to what kind of job i want....
i had plans to start my own thing... but the more i look into it, its hard to start something in korea without connections....
i guess i can still spend a few more weeks trying and contemplating about what i should do...
i found this photo at my grandma's house last week.... it was taken in 1989... when we first moved to australia.... haha... i wish i was that young again...
